ABSTRACT Objectives To assess the agreement between intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements in rats using different animal‐adapted tonometers and to evaluate the relation among the devices. Methods IOP was measured using the TonoLab tonometer, followed by the TonoVet Plus and finally, the Tono‐Pen AVIA Vet.

Normal tension glaucoma (NTG) is a subvariant of primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) or a separate entity. NTG is defined as chronic open angle glaucoma without elevated intraocular pressure or normal intraocular pressure. Normal intraocular pressure is between 10 and 21 mmHg and is defined as two times the standard deviation of the mean intraocular ...

Phenotypic Heterogeneity in Glaucoma: The Systemic and Vascular Landscape Behind Functional Loss
Objective To analyze the direct and indirect associations between structural, functional, and systemic variables in patients with primary open‐angle glaucoma (POAG), normal‐tension glaucoma (NTG), and controls using structural equation modeling (SEM). Methods A cross‐sectional observational study was conducted including 156 participants: 55 with POAG ...

Atypical p38 Kinase Signaling in Retinal Vascular Damage and Recovery
Using an oxygen‐induced retinopathy model, we demonstrate that Tab1‐dependent atypical p38 activation contributes to retinal vascular injury. Genetic blockade of this pathway protects against pathological neovascularization by modulating transcriptional programs.
