Remembering Normality: Memory-guided Knowledge Distillation for Unsupervised Anomaly Detection

IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision, 2023
Knowledge distillation (KD) has been widely explored in unsupervised anomaly detection (AD). The student is assumed to constantly produce representations of typical patterns within trained data, named "normality", and the representation discrepancy ...

On the ‘most normal’ normal

Communications in Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2007
AbstractGiven a set of normals in ℛ3, two algorithms are presented to compute the ‘most normal’ normal. The ‘most normal’ normal is the normal that minimizes the maximal angle with the given set of normals. A direct application is provided supposing a surface triangulation is available.

Amblyopia: The Normal Eye is Not Normal

Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 1990
ABSTRACT When acuity was used to evaluate amblyopia in children, the amblyopic eye had decreased acuity and the nonamblyopic eye had normal acuity. However when Contrast Sensitivity Functions (CSFs) were used to evaluate amblyopia, losses in the CSF were discovered in both the amblyopic and the nonamblyopic eyes.
