Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Modifications to the Jarque–Bera Test

open access: yesMathematics
The Jarque–Bera test is commonly used in statistics and econometrics to test the hypothesis that sample elements adhere to a normal distribution with an unknown mean and variance.

New Entropy Estimator with an Application to Test of Normality

open access: yes, 2011
In the present paper we propose a new estimator of entropy based on smooth estimators of quantile density. The consistency and asymptotic distribution of the proposed estimates are obtained. As a consequence, a new test of normality is proposed.

On non-normality and classification of amplification mechanisms in stability and resolvent analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We seek to quantify non-normality of the most amplified resolvent modes and predict their features based on the characteristics of the base or mean velocity profile.

Testing Transformations to Normality

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B: Statistical Methodology, 1973
Summary Andrews's exact test for the value of the parameter in the Box and Cox parameteric family of transformations is compared with two tests derived from the likelihood function. These two tests are shown, for a numerical example, to be uniformly more powerful than the exact test.

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

New normality test in high dimension with kernel methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A new goodness-of-fit test for normality in high-dimension (and Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space) is proposed. It shares common ideas with the Maximum Mean Discrepancy (MMD) it outperforms both in terms of computation time and applicability to a wider ...

Asymptotic normality of kernel estimates in a regression model for random fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We establish the asymptotic normality of the regression estimator in a fixed-design setting when the errors are given by a field of dependent random variables. The result applies to martingale-difference or strongly mixing random fields. On this basis, a

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.
