Monitoring Vegetation Area in Wasit/ Iraq using Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI)
IAR Journal of Engineering and TechnologyIn the current work, the Landsat data were applied to monitor vegetation in the governorate of Wasit in Iraq country as the region of interest during the period between 2012 and 2024. NDVI was calculated and analyzed by using Landsat Satellite Image in GIS environment which was used to get binary images through analysis. Vegetation changes in this area

Estimating Rice Grain Yield Potential Using Normalized Difference Vegetation Index
Agronomy Journal, 2011Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) measurements have the potential to improve mid‐season N crop management decisions in rice (Oryza sativa L.). The objectives of this study were to determine the optimum sensing timing and establish a yield prediction model using NDVI measurements acquired with the GreenSeeker sensor.

International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2019
In recent years digital sensors have been successfully integrated on board Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) to assess crop vigour, vegetation coverage, and to quantify the ‘greenness’ of foliage as indirect measurements of crop nitrogen status.

Use of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index to Assess N Status and Predict Grain Yield in Rice
Agronomy Journal, 20192889 AbstrAct Fine tuning N recommendations requires an understanding of crop N status and yield potential early enough in the growing season when changes to N management can influence yields.
