Solid solutions of normal paraffins

Journal of Structural Chemistry, 1996
The results of the X-ray diffraction and thermal X-ray diffraction studies of the paraffins CnH2n+2 are revised based on new principles asserting the existence of several types of rotator states of paraffins. Along with the known isomorphism factors, such as the parity (symmetry) of the starting components and the difference between the chain lengths ...

Solute redistribution during normal freezing

Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 1984
Mathematical models used in metallurgy to describe solute partitioning are applied to solute distribution in ice crystals. Results demonstrate that the model developed under the assumption of ideal directional freezing can be used to estimate distribution coefficients from experimental data.

Normal Salt Solution.

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1898
Chicago, Aug. 17, 1898. To the Editor: —Have just been reading the really valuable article, "Saline Infusions" ( vide Journal, August 6, p. 306), and its suggestions will doubtless have great weight with many practitioners. In view of that fact, I thought it might be well to call attention to a typographic error in the fourth line from the top of ...

Space of Solutions for a Normal Mixture

Biometrika, 1973
In a recent study of the distribution of Vb1 in sampling from Pearson Type I distributions (Bowman & Shenton, 1973), it was decided to approximate the distribution by equating the lower-order moments to those of some well-known distributions, such as the Pearson system, Gram-Charlier distribution, etc.

Determination of the normality of cholinesterase solutions

Analytical Biochemistry, 1978
Abstract A very potent anticholinesterase compound, 7-(diethoxyphosphinyloxy)- N -methylquinolinium fluorosulfate, has been used to determine the normality of acetylcholinesterase solutions. The inhibitor reacts rapidly and completely with acetylcholinesterase.
