Annual survival and resource selection of juvenile male wild turkeys in central Tennessee

Juvenile male wild turkeys in central Tennessee, USA, selected areas with smaller patch sizes and lower proportions of developed land. Annual survival was 0.73 and decreased as dense land cover such as young and deciduous forest increased and cover types with high visibility decreased. Clinical Value of Metagenomic Next‐Generation Sequencing Versus Conventional Methods in Diagnosing Cryptococcal Infection After Kidney Transplantation

This retrospective study evaluated metagenomic next‑generation sequencing (mNGS) against conventional methods (India ink, culture, antigen) for diagnosing cryptococcal infection in 16 kidney transplant recipients. mNGS showed a significantly higher positivity rate (93.8% vs 62.5%, p = 0.031) and shorter turnaround time (24 vs. 120 h, p < 0.001).
