The present-day geothermal regime of the North Jiangsu Basin, East China

Geothermics, 2020
Abstract Heat flow and thermal state complement seismic information and provide strong constraints on the thickness, geophysical properties, and tectonic evolution of the lithosphere. The North Jiangsu Basin (NJB) is located in the Lower Yangtze Craton as a wedge block of ancient plate boundary-adjacent to the southeast corner of the North China ...

NORTH JIANGSU BASIN, EASTERN CHINA: ACCUMULATION OF IMMATURE OILS AND DIAGENESIS OF PALAEOGENE RESERVOIR ROCKS

Journal of Petroleum Geology, 1997
Large quantities of immature and low‐maturity oil have been discovered in the North Jiangsu Basin, East China. Intense tectonic activity and the differential accumulation of immature oils during the Palaeogene have resulted in reservoir rocks which have variable sedimentary and diagenetic characteristics.
