XXX International Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference «Man and Nature: Priorities of Modern Research in the Area of Interaction of Nature and Society», 2021There are 4 stages in the development of the cartography of the Northern Black Sea region, with an emphasis on the mapping of the relief. The first corresponds to antiquity, when the relief as such was not depicted on the maps, and it could be judged by indirect signs. The second corresponds to a time usually attributed to the Middle Ages.
