This paper explores the relevance of food origin to consumers when making product purchase decisions. We use data from a survey of pork shoppers at the point of sale of five food retailers in Germany.

A data‐driven regression framework was developed to quantify the relationship between mesh morphology and mechanical performance. Thickness, effective porosity, and pore orientation were consistently identified as key predictors, enabling accurate estimations and supporting improved strategies for surgical mesh design.
