Rare‐Earth Ion Intercalation in Graphene via Thermal and Electrostatic Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Europium ions reversibly intercalate into the van der Waals gap of bilayer graphene when heat and electrostatic gate act together, switching the stacking order and electronic response on demand. Real‐time transport, simulations, and device tests expose a hidden 2D Eu sheet and its temperature‐tuned diffusion, showing a versatile electrochemical route ...

Light‐Fueled In‐Operando Shape Reconfiguration, Fixation, and Recovery of Magnetically Actuated Microtextured Covalent Adaptable Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A covalent adaptable network with dynamic disulfide bonds (DS‐CAN) can rearrange its molecular topology through heating or UV irradiation. When combined with ferromagnetic particles, its photoresponsiveness at room temperature enables contactless, spatiotemporal regulation of dynamic bond exchanges during magnetomechanical actuation.

Dual‐Selective Terahertz‐Nanodisc Metasurfaces for Exploring Neurotransmitter Dynamics beyond Spectral Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Observation and detection of neurotransmitter dynamics in aqueous system has been hurdle for analytical fields due to its weak and reversible nature. A terahertz‐nanodisc metasurface which implements comprehensive detection over conformational change and selective sensing is introduced. Utilizing the THz regime photonics and biomimetic environment with

Borate‐Water‐Based 3D‐Slime Interface Quasi‐Solid Electrolytes for Li‐ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This advanced material, composed of lithium borate, lithium salt, and water, is a quasi‐solid that can be handled in air and has a 3D‐conducting‐interface network (3D‐Slime‐Interface Quasi‐Solid Electrolytes: 3D‐SLISE). The 3D‐SLISE is nonflammable and can be used in lithium‐ion batteries, and its water solubility allows direct recycling of active ...

Description of a mathematical model and computer simulation of separation of the nose cap from the solid rocket booster [PDF]

open access: yes
A system of equations which models the motion of the Solid Rocket Booster Nose Cap upon separation is described. The computer program which utilizes these equations to generate nose cap trajectories is described in detail.

Is There an Inner Nose? [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Senses, 1998
Although behavioral and neuropsychological data regarding the existence of images for odors are inconclusive, reconsideration of earlier EEG work provides reasonably clear evidence for an inner nose. However, further EEG studies and neuroimaging data seem essential for conclusive demonstration of an inner nose.
