Excitation Energy Transfer between Porphyrin Dyes on a Clay Surface: A Study Employing Multifidelity Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Inspired by natural light‐harvesting systems, this study computationally investigates a synthetic antenna by arranging cationic free‐base porphyrin molecules on an anionic clay surface. Using a multiscale quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) approach combined with a multifidelity machine learning method, excitation energies are predicted ...

Exploring Phonon Interference: Insights From a Nano‐Scale Silicon Double Slit Atomistic Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Classical Waves at the Atomic Scale: Molecular Dynamics Reveal Phonon Interference in Silicon Nanostructures. Abstract In this study, the classic double‐slit experiment, originally developed for light waves is successfully adapted, to investigate the behavior of phonons in crystalline silicon.

Effect of Anion Hydrophobicity on the Oxidation of Ferrocene‐Terminated Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled monolayers terminated with ferrocene moieties can be oxidized using an applied potential. At the oxidized layer, anions from the electrolyte can form a layer. Experiments show a relationship between the hydrophobicity of the anion species and the redox potential.

Cracking the Valence Code: Patterned Facial Kinematics and Neural Signatures of Emotional Expressions in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An AI‐powered system decodes emotional valence from mouse facial expressions, identifying ear dynamics as key indicators. By integrating facial kinematics with synchronized neural recordings, this approach establishes a direct link between behavior and brain activity, advancing automated emotion recognition in animal models.
