For lengthening the whole nose, the external skin can usually be stretched downward and forward much more easily than the mucosa of the nasal cavity and the skin of the vestibule. Thus, it is rather difficult to lengthen a nose that has been overshortened earlier. A cartilage graft can correct the obtuse nasolabial angle.
