Renormalization of NoSQL Database Schemas

Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2018
NoSQL applications often use denormalized databases in order to meet performance goals, but this introduces complications as the database itself has no understanding of application-level denormalization. In this paper, we describe a procedure for reconstructing a normalized conceptual model from a denormalized NoSQL database.

NOSQL DATABASES

HUMAN. ENVIRONMENT. TECHNOLOGIES. Proceedings of the Students International Scientific and Practical Conference, 2021

NoSQL Databases

Proceedings of the International C* Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2013
In the past, relational databases were used in a large scope of applications due to their rich set of features, query capabilities and transaction management. However, they are not able to store and process big data effectively and are not very efficient to make transactions and join operations.

Performance Analysis in NoSQL Databases, Relational Databases and NoSQL Databases as a Service in the Cloud

2021
Non-Relational Database Management Systems (NoSQL) arise as an alternative solution to problems not efficiently solved by traditional Database Management Systems (DBMS). NoSQL, unlike the relational model, does not respond to a Data Base type, but represents a set of Database types, with different implementations and characteristics to represent the ...

Transformation of Schema from Relational Database (RDB) to NoSQL Databases [PDF]

open access: yesData, 2019
Relational database has been the de-facto database choice in most IT applications. In the last decade there has been increasing demand for applications that have to deal with massive and un-normalized data.

Tutorial on NoSQL Databases

2015 3rd IEEE International Conference on Mobile Cloud Computing, Services, and Engineering, 2015
NoSQL databases are the new breed of databases developed to overcome the drawbacks of RDBMS. The goal of NoSQL is to provide scalability, availability and meet other requirements of cloud computing. The common motivation of NoSQL design is to meet scalability and fail over.

NoSQL Databases

2015
NoSQL database provides a mechanism for storage and access of data across multiple storage clusters. NoSQL dabases are finding significant and growing industry to meet the huge data storage requirements of Big data, real time applications, and Cloud Computing. NoSQL databases have lots of advantages over the conventional RDBMS features.

Security Issues in NoSQL Databases

2011IEEE 10th International Conference on Trust, Security and Privacy in Computing and Communications, 2011
applications has created the need to store large amount of data in distributed databases that provide high availability and scalability. In recent years, a growing number of companies have adopted various types of non-relational databases, commonly referred to as NoSQL databases, and as the applications they serve emerge, they gain extensive market ...
