An investigation of the sound of foam and its potential influence on the shampoo experience
International Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 48, Issue 4, Page 725-737, August 2026.This study investigates shampoo foam acoustics' impact on hair washing experience using binaural recordings and psychoacoustic analysis. Distinct foam sound profiles elicited varying emotional responses; early lathering induced negative emotions while later phases were positive.
