The currently known distribution of the Austral Patagonian and Fuegian bats
We report the currently existing 31 records for Austral Patagonian and Fuegian bats spanning from 1866 to 2022. The Vespertilionidae were: Myotis chiloensis, Histiotus magellanicus, and Lasiurus varius, and the Molossidae was Tadarida brasiliensis.

Natural regeneration dynamic of mixed Nothofagus forests in southern Patagonia: influence of canopy composition and landscape [PDF]
Species composition of tree recruitment in mixed forests is a determining factor related to thecanopy structure. This work determines if the mixed forests of Nothofagus pumilio and N.betuloides present transitions towards forest types with the dominance ...

Herbivore resistance in congeneric and sympatric Nothofagus species is not related to leaf habit
Premise Two fundamental hypotheses on herbivore resistance and leaf habit are the resource availability hypothesis (RAH) and the carbon-nutrient balance hypothesis (CNBH).

The subantartic Nothofagus forests of Tierra del Fuego: distribution, structure and production
Evergreen Nothofagus betuloides and decidoues N. pumilo form the main forest types in Tierra del Fuego. These forest were sampled along two altitudinal gradients to study their structure and dynamics and assess the causes of their ...
