Preliminary site index curves for pure and mixed forests of Nothofagus alpina and Nothofagus obliqua in Patagonia Argentina

2017
The growth of the dominant height of the stand and the IS is assumed to express the effects of all relevant site factors on the growth. The objective was to develop a function which could express the dominant growth pattern in height within the range of ages and site qualities in mixed N. alpina and N. obliqua (Neuquén, Argentina).

Functional compartmentalization of oxidative stress and antioxidant defense in Nothofagus obliqua galls induced by Espinosa nothofagi

Plant Science
Galls induced by Espinosa nothofagi (Hymenoptera) on Nothofagus obliqua (Nothofagaceae) buds exhibit tissue compartmentalization, with an inner compartment (IC) specialized for larval nutrition and an outer compartment (OC) associated with defense and protection.

Application of moisted hydrogel on roots of Nothofagus obliqua (MIRB.) OERST. and Nothofagus dombeyi (MIRB.) OERST. before transplant

1999

Stand density management diagrams for roble (Nothofagus obliqua) in the Biobío Region, Chile

2017

Microclimate and natural regeneration of Nothofagus alpina, N. obliqua y N. dombeyi

2001
The natural reproduction of Nothofagus alpina, N. dombeyi and N. obliqua was examined at 74 locations in BíoBío, Malleco and Cautín provinces (Chile). Relationships between the occurrence and growth of young plants and some microclimatic variables were studied by means of multivariate analyses. N. alpina is restricted to conditions of low light (<27%

Early development of roble (Nothofagus obliqua): an architectural analysis of provenances from Argentina

2006
The architectural development of three-year-old seedlings of Nothofagus obliqua under nursery conditions was studied. The seedlings were grown from seeds collected from five provenances within the natural distribution area of this species in Argentina. The length, number of nodes and basal diameter of the main axis’ annual shoots were registered for 40
