Carbon Stocks in Sugarcane Biomass and Their Implications on Land Use Change CO2 Balance in Brazil

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 18, Issue 8, August 2026.
This paper develops a regionalized carbon stock factor for sugarcane biomass in Brazil, showing that sugarcane cultivation can lead to net carbon removal in most municipalities. The findings improve greenhouse gas inventories and support bioenergy policies by providing more accurate, spatially resolved estimates for land use change emissions.

Large‐Dimensional Cointegrated Threshold Factor Models: The Global Term Structure of Interest Rates

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 4, Page 677-689, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In this paper we extend the two‐level factor model to account for cointegration between group‐specific factors in large datasets. We propose two nonlinear specifications: (i) a threshold vector error correction model (VECM) that allows for asymmetric adjustment across regimes; and (ii) a band VECM that captures state‐dependent adjustment which

A Systems‐Based Approach for Analyzing Interorganizational Coordination Within Port Risk Control Structures

open access: yesRisk Analysis, Volume 46, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This study proposes a systems‐based analysis approach for analyzing interorganizational coordination in complex sociotechnical systems through the interorganizational risk management coordination taxonomy (IRM‐CT). Unlike traditional risk‐analysis approaches that primarily focus on intraorganizational controls, probabilistic assessment, or ...

Aprendizagens e novas tecnologias

open access: yesRoteiro, 2011
