Improving Egg Quality in Tropical Environments: Assessing the Maize Meal Replacement by Wheat Bran and Soybean Oil in Laying Hen Diets [PDF]

Veterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2025.
This study demonstrates that replacing maize meal with wheat bran (WB) in laying hen diets, with or without soybean oil, maintains egg quality while enhancing economic performance through increased profitability and contribution margins. The results suggest that WB can be effectively utilized in monogastric animal feeding systems.
