Preparation, Identification, and Evaluation of the Thermal Properties of Novolac Resins Modified with TiO2, MgO, and V2O5 Oxides [PDF]
It is essential to improve thermal insulation. In this study, titanium dioxide (TiO2), magnesium oxide (MgO), and vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) were used as additives to modify phenolic novolac resin by the solution mixing method.

Thermosetting resin compositions based on novolac and modified novolac
AbstractNovel formaldehyde novolac resins at various molar ratios of monomers (4,4′‐methylenedianiline/p‐nonylphenol/p‐formaldehyde) were synthesized in the presence of an acid catalyst. The obtained resins were characterized by using elemental analysis, FT IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopic methods.

Accelerating Sustainable Epoxy Resin Development Through Bayesian Optimization and Inverse Design
Development of a machine learning framework for the optimization of the Tg of partially bio‐based epoxy resin formulations in a 13‐component design space using Bayesian optimization, active learning, random design, and inverse design. The results show that the BO effectively navigates high‐dimensional formulation spaces, and the final ML model could ...

Phenolic resin reduces crosslink density and alters the viscoelastic response of GECO elastomers. The magnitude of these changes depends strongly on polymer architecture. Damping performance is governed by the combined effects of network density and molecular structure, not resin content alone, providing a framework for designing advanced vibration ...
