Efficient Emission Fees in the U.S. Electricity Sector [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper provides new estimates of efficient emission fees for sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions in the U.S. electricity sector. The estimates are obtained by coupling a detailed simulation model of the U.S.

Sustainability Assessment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises: A Systematic Review and Hybrid Architecture for Credible, Salient, and Legitimate Knowledge Governance

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability assessment advances corporate social responsibility toward inclusive development. Widely recognized approaches prove inadequate for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), resulting in fragmented proliferation that hinders cumulative knowledge.

Comparison of numerical combustion models for hydrogen and hydrogen-rich syngas applied for dry-low-NOx-micromix-combustion

open access: yes, 2018
The Dry-Low-NOx (DLN) Micromix combustion technology has been developed as low emission combustion principle for industrial gas turbines fueled with hydrogen or syngas. The combustion process is based on the phenomenon of jet-incrossflow-mixing.

Molten‐Salt‐Mediated Chemical Looping Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethane with In‐Situ Carbon Capture and Utilization

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
A sustainable alternative to steam cracking, the molten‐salt‐mediated oxidative dehydrogenation (MM‐ODH) of ethane (C2H6) in Li2CO3‐Na2CO3‐K2CO3 (LNK) couples thermal cracking with melt‐mediated CO2 capture to realize commercially competitive C2H4 and CO yields. LNK composition strongly influences MM‐ODH process outcomes.

A Thermally Robust Luminescent Antimony Halide for Real‐Time Detection of Volatile Iodine at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Zero‐dimensional antimony halides drive efficient iodine capture through electron transfer and display rapid fluorescence quenching at 75°C (348 K), establishing the first luminescent sensor for real‐time I2 detection at elevated temperatures. ABSTRACT Real‐time monitoring of volatile molecular iodine (I2), a hazardous radioactive byproduct of nuclear ...

Mixed‐Impurity Co‐Poisoning of NH3‐SCR Catalysts: Poisoning Mechanisms, Antagonistic Effects, and Anti‐Inactivation Strategies

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the synergistic effects of mixed impurities on ammonia‐selective catalytic reduction (NH3‐SCR) catalysts, including the poisoning mechanism of the catalyst caused by mixed impurities, the antagonistic effects between the impurities, and the research on the anti‐poisoning strategies for the catalyst in recent years.
