Research on NOx Emissions Testing and Optimization Strategies for Diesel Engines Under Low-Load Cycles

open access: yesAtmosphere
Under low-load cycles (LLCs), the issue of high NOx emissions from diesel engines is attracting widespread attention. Through a combination of experimental and simulation approaches, the NOx emission behavior under LLC conditions was investigated ...

Influence of modelled soil biogenic NO emissions on related trace gases and the atmospheric oxidizing efficiency [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The emission of nitric oxide (NO) by soils (SNOx) is an important source of oxides of nitrogen (NOx=NO+NO2) in the troposphere, with estimates ranging from 4 to 21 Tg of nitrogen per year.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Biodiesel unsaturation degree effects on diesel engine NOx emissions and cotton wick flame temperature

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
As compared with conventional diesel fuel, biodiesel has better lubricity and lower particulate matter (PM) emissions however nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions generally increase in biodiesel-fuelled diesel engine.

NOx‐Induced Changes in Upper Tropospheric O3 During the Asian Summer Monsoon in Present‐Day and Future Climate

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2023
The upper tropospheric ozone (O3) strongly influences the atmosphere's radiative budget. Using the Aerosol and Chemistry Model Intercomparison Project simulations, we study the influence of present‐day and future anthropogenic nitrogen oxides (NOx ...

Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Tailored Catalytic Microenvironments Enable Efficient Electrochemical Ammonia Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that Co2+ substitution in inverse spinel FeFeCoO4 constructs an integrated catalytic microenvironment for efficient nitrate‐to‐ammonia reduction. Jahn–Teller distortion activates Fe sites for *H generation, while hard–soft acid–base regulated dual‐metal sites optimize proton‐coupled electron transfer and intermediate adsorption ...

Influences of Non-SCR De-NOx Technologies on NOx and Dioxin Emissions in Full Scale Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Incinerators

open access: yesAerosol and Air Quality Research
To meet the increasingly stringent NOx emission regulations, multi non-selective catalytic reduction (non-SCR) denitrification (De-NOx) technologies are adopted in municipal solid wastes (MSW) incineration plants; but their individual or joint impacts on
