To reduce NOx emission based on optimizing the existing states of coarse coke breeze during iron ore sintering process

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2020
With the development of the iron and steel industry, the amount of NOx emissions is increasing year by year, and this causes environmental pollution in forms such as acidic rain and photochemical smog, which greatly threatens human health and social ...

Reduction of Nitrogen Oxides Emissions in a Single Cylinder Compression Ignition Engine Using Cool Exhaust Gas Recirculation System [PDF]

open access: yesIranica Journal of Energy and Environment, 2016
In various countries around the world, the emissions of NOX from petrol/gasoline and diesel engine vehicles are restricted by legislation. NOX is produced in the combustion chamber of engines at high temperatures and high pressure.

Real world CO2 and NOx emissions from 149 Euro 5 and 6 diesel, gasoline and hybrid passenger cars.

open access: yesScience of the Total Environment, 2018
In this study CO2 and NOx emissions from 149 Euro 5 and 6 diesel, gasoline and hybrid passenger cars were compared using a Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS). The models sampled accounted for 56% of all passenger cars sold in Europe in 2016. We

Cobalt Single‐Atom Nanozyme for Enhanced Intestinal Radioprotection and Tumor Radiosensitization via Bidirectional ROS Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Orally administered, pH‐responsive Co‐SAN exerts dual functions: in the alkaline intestinal milieu, it scavenges reactive oxygen species (ROS) and suppresses the PI3K/AKT pathway and NETs formation, thus providing radioprotection; whereas in the acidic tumor microenvironment, it generates ROS and alleviates hypoxia, thereby enhancing radiosensitization.

Direct Solar Power‐Driven Durable Ammonia Electrosynthesis From Nitrate Under Fluctuating Voltage Conditions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Isolated Sn sites on Cu(111) induce a highly asymmetric charge distribution, which promotes water dissociation, accelerates key intermediate hydrogenation, and suppresses competing hydrogen evolution. As a result, SnCu111 delivers NH3 Faradaic efficiencies above 90% over an 800 mV potential window and enables stable direct solar power‐driven NH3 ...

Nitrate Isotopic Composition in Precipitation at a Chinese Megacity: Seasonal Variations, Atmospheric Processes, and Implications for Sources

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, 2019
Nitrogen stable isotope composition (δ15N) of nitrate (NO3−) deposition can aid in source apportionment of its precursor emissions, nitrogen oxides (NOx), with implications in mitigation policy to address serious air pollution.

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell Secretome Restores Ischemic Stroke–Impaired Motor and Cognitive Functions by Reprogramming Redox and Inflammatory Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human dental pulp stem cell secretome emerges as a cell‐free therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke by reprogramming redox and inflammatory signaling. hDPSC secretome‐derived antioxidant and immunomodulatory factors suppress the TLR4–NOX–ROS–NF‐κB axis, reduce microglial inflammatory responses and apoptosis, and promote neurogenesis, angiogenesis ...

Epitaxial Oxide Interfaces Create Poison‐Resistant CuO Sites for Environmental Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An epitaxially stabilized CuO overlayer on Ti1−xInxO2 creates electron‐poor, high‐symmetry Cu–O sites that activate interfacial lattice‐oxygen redox. This interface promotes NOx reduction through an Eley–Rideal pathway, diverts sulfate formation, and sustains CH3SH deep oxidation via a Mars–van Krevelen cycle, offering a route to poison‐resistant ...
