Evaluation of Drift-Reducing Nozzles for Pesticide Application in Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)

open access: yesAgriEngineering, 2021
Spraying pesticides using air induction nozzles is a well-known method to reduce drift. These drift-reducing nozzles have been tested on many different tree crops (such as apples, citrus, and grapes), but we are still lacking information on their ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

CFD study on nozzle cooling structure for a wind tunnel of high temperature and long operation time

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
A wind tunnel of high temperature and long operation time requires the use of cooling techniques,so we need design cooling channels on the nozzle. In this paper, rectangular cooling channels of high cooling efficiency were used to study the factors ...

Increasing Inter‐Micellar Connectivity Toughens and Imparts Cooling‐Induced Shape Memory in Micellar Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oligomerizing Pluronic triblock copolymers provides a processing strategy for tuning the mechanical properties and stimuli‐responsive behaviors of micellar hydrogels. Varying oligomer fraction produces hydrogels spanning brittle to highly extensible responses; maintaining micellar architectures enables cooling‐induced reverse thermal shape memory and ...

Research on airflow uniformity of marine selective catalytic reduction reverse blow system

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
In order to improve the working performance of the ceramic catalyst filter, a model of nozzle blowback was designed to change the nozzle diameter. The blowback tube blowback model with variable diameter and the blowback blowback model with equal diameter

Tough and Skin‐Free Porous Polyelectrolyte Complex Hydrogels via Salt‐Induced Aqueous Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling counterion exchange rate during aqueous phase separation enables the formation of skin‐free, homogeneously porous polyelectrolyte complex hydrogels by suppressing kinetically trapped skin layers and macrovoids. The resulting hydrogel networks exhibit exceptional toughness (∼15 MJ·m−3) and enable 3D (bio)printing and post‐functionalization ...

A STUDY OF HEAT TRANSFER GENERALIZATION FOR A COOLING SYSTEM WITH MINERAL MEDIA COATINGS

open access: yesEurasian Physical Technical Journal
Studies of heat transfer in cooling systems with natural material coatings have been carried out. The phenomenon of flame spin detonation was observed at an oxidizer excess ratio below unity, with the spraying process being intensified up to sixfold. The
