Unraveling the enigma of NPP variation in Chinese vegetation ecosystems: The interplay of climate change and land use change.

Science of the Total Environment, 2023
Global carbon emissions have exacerbated the greenhouse effect, exerting a profound impact on ecosystems worldwide. Gaining an understanding of the fluctuations in vegetation net primary productivity (NPP) is pivotal in the assessment of environmental ...

Quantitative Evaluation of Urban Expansion using NPP-VIIRS Nighttime Light and Landsat Spectral Data

Sustainable cities and society, 2021
Quantifying the evolution of urban expansion is of vital importance for optimizing land use patterns and promoting sustainable urban development. This research proposed the Enhanced Nighttime Light Urban Index (ENUI), which combines NPP-VIIRS nighttime ...

Revisiting the environmental Kuznets curve for city-level CO2 emissions: based on corrected NPP-VIIRS nighttime light data in China

Journal of Cleaner Production, 2020
With the increasing trend of global warming, the Chinese government faces tremendous pressure to reduce CO2 emissions. The purpose of this study is to accurately measure CO2 emissions at the city scale in China and examine the environmental Kuznets curve,

Technology for NPP Decantate Treatment Realized at Kola NPP

11th International Conference on Environmental Remediation and Radioactive Waste Management, Parts A and B, 2007
At Moscow SIA “Radon” jointly with JSC “Alliance Gamma”, the technology for NPP Decanatate Treatment was developed, tested and realized at Kola NPP. This technology consists of dissolving the salt residue and subsequent treatment by ozonization, separation of the deposits formed from ozonization and selective cleaning by ferro-cyanide sorbents.

Afforestation promotes the enhancement of forest LAI and NPP in China

, 2020
Recent national wide afforestation in China are playing an increasingly significant role in the global greening trend and CO2 mitigation. However, the long term knowledge of spatiotemporal pattern of plantation forests (PF) is essential to understand the

NPP

2014
The problem of the safe interaction between a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and a Power Grid (PG), considering the Fukushima nuclear accident, is becoming topical. There are a lot different types of influences between NPPs and PG, which stipulate NPPs’ safety levels. To evaluate the influences, two metrics are proposed: linguistic and numerical.

Suomi NPP EDR performance

2014 IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2014
In this paper we describe the current maturity status of the Environmental Data Records (EDRs) from the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP) satellite. The maturity status is measured by the performance of the algorithm against the documented requirements as well as the level of validation effort accomplished.

Vulnerability assessment of AP1000 NPP under mainshock-aftershock sequences

, 2020
Researches explicitly indicate that the seismic events, consisting of the several shock waves (the first followed by the aftershock or train) may result in cumulative damage even if the intensity is not strong.
