Transcriptional Changes in Cumulus Cells During In Vitro Maturation of Human Oocytes. [PDF]
ABSTRACT This study assessed transcriptional changes in human cumulus cells (CCs) during oocyte maturation In Vitro. CCs were collected from 25 cumulus‐oocyte complexes derived from surplus ovarian medulla tissue of eight women (mean age 29 years, range 19–36) undergoing ovarian tissue cryopreservation without ovarian stimulation.

Protective Effects of C-Type Natriuretic Peptide on Linear Growth and Articular Cartilage Integrity in a Mouse Model of Inflammatory Arthritis [PDF]
Objective: The C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) signaling pathway is a major contributor to postnatal skeletal growth in humans. This study was undertaken to investigate whether CNP signaling could prevent growth delay and cartilage damage in an animal ...

A novel NPR2 mutation (p.Arg388Gln) in a patient with acromesomelic dysplasia, type Maroteaux
Acromesomelic dysplasia, type Maroteaux (AMDM) is a congenital bone dysplasia characterized by disproportionate, acromesomelic shortening of the limbs and mild spondylar dysplasia. AMDM is caused by biallelic loss-of-function mutations in NPR2 encoding natriuretic peptide receptor-B. We report on a 25-yr-old Japanese woman with AMDM. Her height was 119.

NPR1 paralogs of Arabidopsis and their role in salicylic acid perception.
Salicylic acid (SA) is responsible for certain plant defence responses and NON EXPRESSER OF PATHOGENESIS RELATED 1 (NPR1) is the master regulator of SA perception. In Arabidopsis thaliana there are five paralogs of NPR1.
