An optimal protection scheme for spatially distributed UHVDC transmission systems
Spatially distributed UHVDC transmission systems eliminate the need for AC transmission lines converging at a converter station by enabling DC power transmission at remote locations.

Plasma concentrations of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (enos) after different physical exercises
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of dynamic and static exercises on eNOS concentrations in the blood plasma of athletes who do cyclic and strength kind of sports, as well as in men, who are not involved in any sports.Materials and ...

Photoaligned and photopatterned liquid crystal platforms provide programmable control of optical phase, polarization, and spin‐orbit interactions, enabling compact generation of structured light and complex wavefronts. This review highlights how tailored molecular orientations transform simple beams into designed optical fields, opening versatile ...

Sea cucumber mutable collagenous tissue (MCT) is a remarkable collagen‐based material which can rapidly undergo large changes in stiffness through transiently bound effector proteins. Here, we investigate the hierarchical structure and mechanical response of MCT from Cucumaria frondosa across length scales with a wide range of methods, also exploring ...

The characteristic of endothelium-dependent vasodilatation in athletes and untrained volunteers
It is shown that strength-training athletes and track and field athletes have endothelial dysfunction. The vascular endothelium activity is not related to the direction of physical exercises.

Molecular rotors are fluorescent molecules that are sensitive to viscosity and temperature variations in the environment. They exhibit a direct correlation between fluorescence and viscosity within Newtonian fluids. However, this correlation becomes less straightforward in complex systems.

Domain Engineering and Anisotropic Domain‐Wall Photovoltaic Effects in Ferroelectric SnS
The bulk photovoltaic effect at domain walls in the in‐plane ferroelectric 2D semiconductor SnS is investigated using periodic domain structures. Unlike conventional oxide ferroelectrics, domain walls of SnS do not contribute to photocurrent generation perpendicular to the domain walls.

Collagen II coatings support the formation of synovial fluid nanofilms, while collagen I coatings do not. Both bind recombinant equine lubricin similarly. These findings may help explain articular cartilage surface joint dysfunction, inform biomaterial design for synovial joint repair, and expand on lubricin‐based osteoarthritis therapies.
