Weekly Nuchal Translucency Measurements in Normal Fetuses
Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1998To examine the longitudinal course of nuchal translucency thickness by weekly measurements between 10 and 15 weeks' gestation in normal fetuses.Nuchal translucency was measured weekly from 10 to 15 weeks' gestation in 64 fetuses with normal pregnancy outcome. The median and the fifth, 25th, 75th, and 95th percentiles were calculated.Nuchal translucency

Nuchal translucency measurement in normal fetuses
Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1995To construct a normal range for the nuchal translucency measurement in chromosomally and phenotypically normal fetuses between 9 and 14 weeks' gestation. The nuchal translucency was measured prospectively in 771 chromosomally normal fetuses of women attending our antenatal clinic or prenatal diagnosis center.

Variability of Nuchal Translucency Measurement
Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 2005Objectives: To evaluate intra- and inter-observer variations of nuchal translucency (NT) measurements and study the duration of measurements. Subjects: One hundred and forty-seven singleton pregnant women with 10–14 weeks of gestation who had attended antenatal clinic during January 1st, 2000–August 31st, 2001 were

Optimising the timing for nuchal translucency measurement
Prenatal Diagnosis, 2002AbstractIt appears from current evidence that the most effective screening strategy for Down syndrome will involve a combination of first trimester nuchal translucency and serum biochemistry, whether performed in the first or second trimester. The aim of this study was to determine the optimum gestation based upon menstrual dates at which to schedule ...

Nuchal translucency scans complicated by nuchal cord – Are we measuring correctly?
Sonography, 2017AbstractObjectiveTo evaluate the affect nuchal cord (NC) may have on nuchal translucency (NT) thickness. To identify the sonographic features of NC complication in NT scans and to determine how these features are interpreted by sonographers complying to current Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) NT imaging guidelines.MethodsRetrospective review of 200 ...

Quality Management of Nuchal Translucency Measurement in Residents
Ultraschall in der Medizin - European Journal of Ultrasound, 2007The measurement of the nuchal translucency (NT) in the 1st trimester is a sensitive, reliable method to assess the risk of specific fetal chromosomal and other defects. Training, however, is an issue not only among experienced sonographers, but especially for ObGyn residents, since all NT measurements in a true screening setting should fulfil the ...

Quality of nuchal translucency measurements in multifetal pregnancies
The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine, 2006A prospective comparative study was conducted to investigate the effect of multifetal pregnancies on the quality of nuchal translucency measurements using an image scoring method. The study sample included 72 consecutive multiple gestations (164 fetuses) and 195 singleton gestations (control) matched for maternal age and fetal crown-rump length.

Repeatability of measurement of fetal nuchal translucency thickness
Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1995AbstractThe aim of this prospective study was to assess the repeatability of measurement of fetal nuchal translucency thickness at 10–14 weeks' gestation. The nuchal translucency was measured by two of four operators in 200 pregnant women attending the Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at 10–14 weeks' gestation.
