NUCK CYSTS; THREE CASES TREATED WITH THE TEP TECHNIQUE

British Journal of Surgery
Abstract The first noted case defect in the Canal of Nuck dates back to 1691 by Anton Nuck. The failure of the canal to close after birth or within the first year of life in female infants can lead to the formation of hydrocele or herniation of intra-abdominal structures through the patent Canal of Nuck.

[Cyst of Nucks canal associated with recurrent inguinal hernia].

Ginecologia y obstetricia de Mexico, 2013
Cysts of a permeable vaginal process or cysts of Nuck are a rare entity in women and have a similar embryologic and etiologic origin as that of inguinal hernias. They should be considered a differential diagnosis when an inguinal mass is present or during a diagnostic laparoscopy in which a peritoneal defect or open inguinal ring is found.
