Cluster Models in Nuclear Astrophysics

Clustering Aspects of Quantum Many-Body Systems, 2002
The general context of low energy reactions in nuclear astrophysics is outlined. Different cluster models, used in this field, are briefly presented. We discuss more specifically the potential model, the R-matrix method and microscopic models. Other techniques are commented on, and recent applications are presented.

Nuclear astrophysics underground

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
Low energy nuclear reactions on light elements play a key role in providing the thermonuclear energy necessary to stabilize stars against gravitational contraction. They also control the nucleosynthesis leading to the production of seed elements for subsequent burning sequences in stellar evolution and stellar explosion.
