Gutmann Donor Theory‐Guided Design of Mononuclear Ionic Cluster for Exceptional N‐Type Thermoelectric Ionogel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Super‐stretchable and self‐healing polyacrylate ternary ionogel elastomers are used for flexible i‐TE devices. Based on Gutmann donor theory of doped anion, the work proposes a three‐parameter tuning strategy of flexible polymer‐doped anion‐synergistic cation to achieve the systematic design of ionic thermoelectric materials. Abstract Quasi‐solid‐state,

Substrate‐Selective Temperature‐Controlled Synthesis of Thiophene Derivatives at Interfaces

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The deposition of a dithiophene derivative on Ag(111) at room temperature followed by annealing gives rise to molecular wires, whereas the adsorption of the same precursor on a hot substrate affords the formation of benzotrithiophene species. Abstract The temperature‐controlled transformation of organic molecules at interfaces is an incipient yet ...

Cascade‐Responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF Heterostructure Integrates Antioxidant Activity, Infection Control, and Vascularization for Tracheal Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.

Persistent Magnetism and Tunable Doping of Monolayer Graphene via Europium Density Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The modulation of europium density at the graphene/rhenium interface enables electron doping of monolayer graphene both beneath and beyond the van Hove singularity. The interfacial europium is ferromagnetic, with a transition from a mixed Eu(II)/Eu(III) valence in the dense phase to a pure Eu(II) state in the diluted phase.

Indo-Russian Strategic Partnership and Indian Military's Cold Start Doctrine

open access: yesPolicy Perspectives, 2018
The South Asian strategic stability is at risk because of the Indian military's doctrinal shift, massive military modernization and operationalization of the Cold Start Doctrine-(CSD) against a nuclear weapon state, Pakistan. This study is divided in two

Understanding the Interplay Between Thermal Activation, Diffusion, and Phase Segregation of Molecular Dopants Blended with Polymeric Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The use of air stable but thermally labile molecules provides an efficient strategy for the N‐type doping of organic semiconductors with relatively low electron affinities. Design criteria for efficient dopants should also take into account diffusion and phase segregation that cannot be decoupled from thermally activated doping.

From Just War to Nuclear Pacifism: The Evolution of U.S. Christian Thinking about War in the Nuclear Age, 1946–1989

open access: yesSocial Sciences, 2018
During the Cold War, two basic schools of thought emerged among U.S. Christian leaders and ethicists concerning the implications of the nuclear revolution for the use of force by the United States.
