Uncovering the Active Galactic Nuclei in Low-Ionization Nuclear Emission-Line Regions with Spitzer [PDF]
The impact of active galactic nuclei on low-ionization nuclear emission-line regions (LINERs) remains a vigorous field of study. We present preliminary results from a study of the mid-infrared atomic emission lines of LINERs with the Spitzer Space Telescope. We assess the ubiquity and properties of AGN in LINERs using this data.

Trapped-atom Otto engine with light-induced dipole-dipole interactions [PDF]
Finite-time quantum heat engines are of practical relevance as they can generate finite-power, distinguishing them from ideal quasistatic engines typically used for theoretical purposes. However, these engines encounter energy losses due to quantum friction, which is particularly pronounced in many-body systems with non-trivial coherences in their ...

AISI 304L stainless steel powder is mixed with silicon nitride (Si3N4) powder and processed by PBF‐LB/M, allowing partial retention of Si3N4. The numerical approach effectively predicts the Si3N4 powder homogeneity and N content distribution on the powder bed. Recent studies have focused on the alloying of nitrogen (N) in high‐alloy stainless steels by
