YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Evaluating the Efficacy of CortexID Quantitative Analysis in Localization of the Epileptogenic Zone in Patients with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

open access: yesNeurology and Therapy
Introduction There remains a critical need for precise localization of the epileptogenic foci in individuals with drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE). 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) imaging can reveal hypometabolic regions during

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Structure of the nuclear force in a chiral quark-diquark model

open access: yes, 2003
We discuss the structure of the nuclear force using a lagrangian derived from hadronization of a chiral quark and diquark model. A generalized trace log formula including meson and nucleon fields is expanded to the order in which relevant terms emerge ...

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Development of a model to predict Ki-67 expression status in non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma based on PET radiomics

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
IntroductionThis study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of conventional metabolic parameters and radiomic features from 18F-deoxyglucose(FDG) PET in predicting Ki-67 expression status in patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.MethodsWe analyzed clinical,

First-Principles Assessment of the Structure and Stability of 15 Intrinsic Point Defects in Zinc-Blende Indium Arsenide

open access: yesCrystals, 2019
Point defects are inevitable, at least due to thermodynamics, and essential for engineering semiconductors. Herein, we investigate the formation and electronic structures of fifteen different kinds of intrinsic point defects of zinc blende indium ...

Parity violation in nuclear systems

open access: yes, 2004
Parity violation in nuclear systems is reviewed. A few ingredients relevant to the description of the parity-violating nucleon-nucleon force in terms of meson exchanges are reminded. Effects in nuclear systems are then considered.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

TIMELESS promotes reprogramming of glucose metabolism in oral squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine
Background Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), the predominant malignancy of the oral cavity, is characterized by high incidence and low survival rates. Emerging evidence suggests a link between circadian rhythm disruptions and cancer development.
