Dibaryons as carriers of strong internucleon interactions and a basis for nuclear physics based on QCD

open access: yes, 2005
New concept of intermediate- and short-range nuclear force proposed by the authors a few years ago is discussed briefly. The general concept is based on an assumption on generation of the dressed dibaryon in intermediate state in $NN$ interaction.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

125I seed brachytherapy with cement augmentation versus cement alone for acetabular metastases: a comparative study

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
ObjectiveAs the survival of cancer patients improves, the incidence of bone metastases increases. Acetabular metastases often cause severe pain, limit hip mobility, and impair quality of life.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Multimodal data generative fusion method for complex system health condition estimation

open access: yesScientific Reports
For the health management of complex systems, the high value of such systems often necessitates multimodal monitoring data, including video surveillance, internal sensors, empirical formulas, and even digital twins.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Accuracy improving research on the calibration methods of organic scintillator detectors

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
The calibration accuracy of the response matrix has a critical effect on the accuracy and stability of the unfolded spectra of organic scintillator neutron spectrometers. In this paper, based on the calibration of an EJ-301 liquid scintillation detector,

Quantitative Analysis of Cerium-Gallium Alloys Using a Hand-Held Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy Device

open access: yesAtoms, 2019
A hand-held laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy device was used to acquire spectral emission data from laser-induced plasmas created on the surface of cerium-gallium alloy samples with Ga concentrations ranging from 0−3 weight percent.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.
