Assessment of helical-cruciform fuel rods for high power density
In order to significantly increase the power density of Light Water Reactors (LWRs), the helical-cruciform (HC) fuel rod assembly has been proposed as an alternative to traditional fuel geometry.

Alkoxy chain length drives a continuous transition from eclipsed AA to a serrated, slipped AA* configuration over Co‐porphyrin COFs. A moderate slip both contracts the pore channel to enrich CO2 and suppress hydrogen evolution, and enhances collective high‐spin of Co sites, which delivers a record CO production rate with high selectivity.

Interface‐Mediated Catalysis for Improved Hydrogen Storage in Reactive Hydride Composites
Catalyst–hydride interfaces are engineered in Co@C‐ and Ni@C‐modified 2LiH + MgB2 reactive hydride composites to accelerate hydrogen uptake and release. Multiscale scattering, in‐situ synchrotron radiation powder x‐ray diffraction and density functional theory calculations reveal the structural and electronic origin of the catalytic enhancement ...

Brazil’s Nuclear Policy. From Technological Dependence to Civil Nuclear Power [PDF]
Since March 2006 Brazil has been the ninth country to control the full nuclear fuel cycle. While the U.S. government bashes the uranium enrichment activities in Iran, it has come to an arrangement with the uranium enrichment in its backyard after ...

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery
