To gain further insight into the effect of molecular mobility on the crystallization rate of amorphous drugs, the mean relaxation times of amorphous nifedipine and phenobarbital were calculated based on the Adam-Gibbs-Vogel (AGV) equation, using the parameters D, T(0), and T(f), derived from the heating rate dependence of the glass transition ...

Benchmark experiments for the validation of secondary-gamma-ray data are conducted for iron and Type 316 stainless steel (SS316) shield assemblies bombarded by deuterium-tritium neutrons. Gamma-ray spectra and heating rates for both threshold and capture gamma rays are measured. With the present experimental data for gamma rays, a set of benchmark data

Recently, heat deposition rate measurements were reported that used a quasi-adiabatic double-shield graphite calorimeter. It was found that for a better understanding of nuclear heating due to incident radiation, having a calorimeter that could be conveniently moved axially and radially inside large material blocks would be advisable.
