A Note on Countably Normed Nuclear Spaces [PDF]
A modification of the Kōmura-Kōmura imbedding theorem is used to show that every countably normed nuclear space is isomorphic to a subspace of a nuclear Fréchet space with basis and a continuous norm. The space with basis can be chosen to be a quotient of

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Weighted Nuclear Norm Minimization on Multimodality Clustering
Generally, multimodality data contain different potential information available and are capable of providing an enhanced analytical result compared to monosource data. The way to combine the data plays a crucial role in multimodality data analysis which is worth investigating.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Tensor Completion Based on Triple Tubal Nuclear Norm
Many tasks in computer vision suffer from missing values in tensor data, i.e., multi-way data array. The recently proposed tensor tubal nuclear norm (TNN) has shown superiority in imputing missing values in 3D visual data, like color images and videos ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Finding Approximately Rank-One Submatrices with the Nuclear Norm and $\ell_1$-Norm
We propose a convex optimization formulation with the nuclear norm and $\ell_1$-norm to find a large approximately rank-one submatrix of a given nonnegative matrix. We develop optimality conditions for the formulation and characterize the properties of the optimal solutions.
