Evaluation of Stopping Powers of Superheavy Ions with $\it{Z}$ up to 124 in Al and U [PDF]
Electronic and nuclear stopping powers of superheavy ions with $\it{Z}$ up to 124 and $\it{A}$=300 in Al and U were estimated in the energy range of 0.01-0.20 MeV/u. The corresponding stopping powers were estimated using stopping powers of ions with 6$\leq$$\it{Z}$$\leq$92 obtained from SRIM.

AISI 304L stainless steel powder is mixed with silicon nitride (Si3N4) powder and processed by PBF‐LB/M, allowing partial retention of Si3N4. The numerical approach effectively predicts the Si3N4 powder homogeneity and N content distribution on the powder bed. Recent studies have focused on the alloying of nitrogen (N) in high‐alloy stainless steels by

Modeling Robust Energy Systems Considering Weather Uncertainty and Nuclear Power Failures: A Case Study in Northern Europe [PDF]
Capacity expansion models used for policy support have increasingly represented both the variability and uncertainty of weather-dependent generation (wind and solar). However, although also uncertain, as demonstrated by the performance of the French nuclear power fleet in 2022, uncertainty arising from nuclear power outages has been largely neglected ...

A metallic implant's higher stiffness compared to the surrounding bone leads to stress shielding problems, causing bone density reduction and bone growth interference in pediatric patients. 3D‐printed triply periodic minimal surface structures present a promising engineering solution.

Power Installations based on Activated Nuclear Reactions of Fission and Synthesis [PDF]
The general scheme of power installations based on nuclear reactions of fission and synthesis activated by external sources is analyzed. The external activation makes possible to support nuclear reactions at temperatures and pressures lower than needed for chain reactions, so simplifies considerably practical realization of power installations.

Spatial distribution of microstructure in Inconel 718 3D‐printed with bidirectional strategy with no rotation and chessboard strategy is studied. The former results in a highly ordered arrangement of coarse grains separated by line clusters of dislocation‐dense fine grains. This arrangement is disrupted by the chessboard strategy.
