Effective field theory for nuclear matter [PDF]

We apply the relativistic chiral Lagrangian to the nuclear equation of state. An effective chiral power expansion scheme, which is constructed to work around nuclear saturation density, is presented. The leading and subleading terms are evaluated and are shown to provide an equation of state with excellent saturation properties.

Evaluation of Stopping Powers of Superheavy Ions with $\it{Z}$ up to 124 in Al and U [PDF]

Electronic and nuclear stopping powers of superheavy ions with $\it{Z}$ up to 124 and $\it{A}$=300 in Al and U were estimated in the energy range of 0.01-0.20 MeV/u. The corresponding stopping powers were estimated using stopping powers of ions with 6$\leq$$\it{Z}$$\leq$92 obtained from SRIM.
