Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

The Offshore Floating Nuclear Plant Concept [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A new offshore floating nuclear plant (OFNP) concept with high potential for attractive economics and an unprecedented level of safety is presented. OFNP creatively combines state-of-the-art light water reactors and floating platforms similar to those ...

Fission chambers for space effect reduction in the application of the area method: A new approach

open access: yesNukleonika, 2020
The possibility of preparing fission chambers for the experimental determination of subcriticality without time-consuming corrections has been presented. The reactor detectors set consists of monoisotopic chambers. Each chamber is intended for a specific

Irradiation‐Induced Spin Bath Evolution and as‐Grown Hydrogen Defects in CVD Diamond Revealed by NV‐Based DEER Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we provide the reader with the current state of the art in the fabrication of high‐T2‐coherence diamond, optimized through the use of double electron–electron resonance (DEER) spectroscopy. We reveal the main as well as yet unidentified spin defects, the reduction of which is essential for reducing the spin bath and fabricating materials for ...

Molten fuel-coolant interactions resulting from power transients in aluminium plate/water moderated reactors. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
The behaviour of two reactors SL1 and SPERT D12 which underwent fast nuclear power transients prior to core destruction by a molten fuel-coolant interaction (MFCI) has been analysed and the results compared with measured data.

Chapter 19: Hydrogen cogeneration with generation IV nuclear power plants [PDF]

open access: yes
A promising method of clean fuel production in the future is nuclear-based hydrogen production using electrolysis and thermochemical cycles. Hydrogen is a clean energy carrier and potentially major solution to the problem of climate change. Production of

Thermal hydraulics in water-cooled nuclear reactors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
An attempt is made in the Book to provide a vision of nuclear thermal-hydraulics as it appears following more than half-a-century development. The idea is to cover from fundamentals to applications. This implies the consideration of a universe of topics,

Single‐Step Recovery of Water from Stable Crude Oil‐Water Emulsion Using Surface Engineered Hybrid Inorganic‐Polymer Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.
