The Need for an International law-Informed Code of Conduct for Nuclear Command, Control and Communication

open access: yesJournal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament
Nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3) systems comprise a complex arrangement of people, policy, procedures, infrastructure, and law that governs when, why, how, and by whom the decision to launch a nuclear weapon will be made and executed ...

Harnessing the Biological Responses Induced by Nanomaterials for Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Nanomaterial (NM)‐induced toxicity can be strategically repurposed for cancer therapy. This review summarizes the mechanism by which NMs selectively activate specific cellular processes to regulate cell fate independently. We also discussed how NMs‐induced biological responses can be leveraged as therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.

The Comprehensive Roadmap Toward Malaria Elimination Using Graphene and its Promising 2D Analogs

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Material based on a diversity of graphene with chemical properties of strong strength, high mobility, high transparency, good heat conductivity, biocompatibility, and chemical stability, advanced devices demonstrating antimalarial characteristics can be used for malaria treatment at different stages of malaria development from the injection of ...

Deconstructing the Struggle Against Nuclearism

open access: yesAcademicus International Scientific Journal, 2022
In such a complex and uncertain world, it may help to think like a Hindu, and accept contradiction as more in keeping with social and political reality than is finding a right answer to complex policy puzzles.

Research on Simulation and Generation Technology of Optical Signal of High‐Speed Projectile Passing through Target Based on Acousto‐Optic Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
In order to conveniently test the accuracy of the optoelectronic velocity measuring system. This paper proposes a method for simulating the generation of the optical signals for projectile passing through the target by the acoustooptic modulation technology.

Nuclear Weapons and Intergenerational Exploitation [PDF]

open access: yesSecurity Studies, 2007
Nuclear weapons’ defenders claim that they lower the risk of war, at the price of devastation if war breaks out. But sooner or later, on a realist analysis, catastrophic nuclear war is almost sure to come. Nuclear deterrence thus buys us a better chance of dying in bed, while each post-holocaust generation will have to pick up the pieces.

Early synapsids neurosensory diversity revealed by CT and synchrotron scanning

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Non‐mammaliaform synapsids (NMS) represent the closest relatives of today's mammals among the early amniotes. Exploring their brain and nervous system is key to understanding how mammals evolved. Here, using CT and Synchrotron scanning, we document for the first time three extreme cases of neurosensory and behavioral adaptations that probe ...
