Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

The metastable zone width (MSZW) of p-methoxybenzoic acid (PMBA) in an ethanol-water system was measured using the polythermal method. The nucleation order m obtained by the Nývlt’s model indicates the nucleation of PMBA following a progressive ...

Ice nucleation under cirrus cloud conditions [PDF]
Cirrus are thin upper tropospheric clouds that are composed entirely of ice particles. Due to their extensive coverage of the Earth’s surface, they have a significant impact on the Earth’s radiative balance.

In this work, we present a microfluidic approach that allows performing nucleation studies under different fluid dynamic conditions. We determine primary nucleation rates and nucleation kinetic parameters for adipic acid solutions by using liquid/liquid ...

Laboratory study on new particle formation from the reaction OH + SO₂: influence of experimental conditions, H₂O vapour, NH₃ and the amine tert-butylamine on the overall process [PDF]
Nucleation experiments starting from the reaction of OH radicals with SO2 have been performed in the IfT-LFT flow tube under atmospheric conditions at 293±0.5 K for a relative humidity of 13–61%.

Earthquake Nucleation Processes Across Different Scales and Settings [PDF]
Extended nucleation phases of earthquakes have been regularly observed, yet the underlying mechanisms governing the initiation phase of rupture are yet to be understood in detail.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Powder metal processing provides scalable advantages in nanoporous (np) metal development. Mechanical alloying is used to produce unique precursors for hybrid nanopore formation by oxide reduction and dealloying. As demonstrated in np Ag, this approach improves process efficiency while promoting smaller ligaments and larger pores, both of which are ...
