DVCS-Dissociation of the Deuteron and the EMC Effect

open access: yes, 2004
The break-up of the deuteron during deeply-virtual Compton scattering, gamma* d --> gamma(*) n p, is explored. In the effective field theory describing nucleon dynamics at momenta below the pion mass, the EMC effect results from four-nucleon interactions

Studies of Parity Violation in Atoms

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 2, February 2025.
This article provides an overview of atomic parity violation (APV), emphasizing its role in testing the Standard Model and probing new physics. The review discusses manifestations of APV, including nuclear‐spin‐independent and dependent effects, and explores isotopic comparison as a method for precision measurements.

Calculation of Neutron Induced Nuclear Reaction on Deuteron with Faddeev Equation

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu, 2022
Neutron induced nuclear reaction on light nuclei is an important subject in nuclear data research. The reaction of the n+d three nucleons system is also an important platform for examining the nucleonnucleon interaction theories.

Designing Interactions with Furniture: Towards Multi-Sensorial Interaction Design Processes for Interactive Furniture [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this paper, we argue for novel user experience design methods, in the context of reimagining ergonomics of interactive furniture.

A Brief, Biased View of Neutron Star Cooling

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 346, Issue 1, January 2025.
ABSTRACT This is a concise and non‐technical review of topics related to neutron star (NS) cooling, for both young NSs and NSs in low‐mass x‐ray binaries. Neutrino emission from the NS core drives cooling rates, via different processes including Urca processes and pair breaking and formation at the neutron superfluid critical temperature.

Loop interactions and their representations in Fock space [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Given a weighted graph, we show how to define two types of natural interactions which correspond to local interactions between two Fock spaces. The first type of interaction involves loop ensembles and spanning trees. The second type of interaction involves loop holonomies and random connections.

QCD Sum Rules for Nucleon-Nucleon Interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The QeD sum rules for spin-dependent nucleon-nucleon interactions are formulated and their physical implications are studied. The basic object of the study is the correlation function of the nucleon interpolating field, where the matrix element is taken ...

Nuclear saturation in lowest-order Brueckner theory with two- and three-nucleon forces in view of chiral effective field theory

open access: yes, 2015
The nuclear saturation mechanism is discussed in terms of two-nucleon and three-nucleon interactions in chiral effective field theory (Ch-EFT), using the framework of lowest-order Brueckner theory. After the Coester band, which is observed in calculating

The isotope distribution: A rose with thorns

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 1, Page 22-42, January/February 2025.
Abstract The isotope distribution, which reflects the number and probabilities of occurrence of different isotopologues of a molecule, can be theoretically calculated. With the current generation of (ultra)‐high‐resolution mass spectrometers, the isotope distribution of molecules can be measured with high sensitivity, resolution, and mass accuracy ...

Experimental study of three-nucleon dynamics in the dp breakup collisions using the WASA detector

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
An experiment to investigate the 1H(d,pp)n breakup reaction using a deuteron beam of 340, 380 and 400 MeV and the WASA detector has been performed at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY-Jülich.
