Relativistic nucleon-nucleon interactions

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1967
Abstract One-boson-exchange interactions are derived for pseudoscalar (P), vector (V), scalar (S), axial vector (A) and anti-symmetric tensor (T) mesons. The Schrodinger-Pauli limit is obtained for a general combination of such Diracian OBE interactions.

Low-momentum interactions for nuclei

open access: yes, 2004
We show how the renormalization group is used to construct a low-momentum nucleon-nucleon interaction V_{low k}, which unifies all potential models used in nuclear structure calculations. V_{low k} can be directly applied to the nuclear shell model or to

Characterization of radiations‐induced genomic structural variations in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 121, Issue 1, January 2025.
Significance Statement Exposure to genotoxic stress activates DNA damage response (DDR) and challenges genome integrity. Using third generation sequencing technology, we characterized alterations of the linear genome structure of Arabidopsis plants treated with non‐ionizing (UV‐B, UV‐C) and ionizing radiations (protons). We identified, in wild type and

Baryon-number-violating nucleon decays in ALP effective field theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The search for baryon-number-violating (BNV) nucleon decay is an intriguing probe of new physics beyond the SM in future neutrino experiments with enhanced sensitivity.

Exotic nuclear matter

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Recent developments of nuclear structure theory for exotic nuclei are addressed. The inclusion of hyperons and nucleon resonances is discussed. Nuclear multipole response functions, hyperon interactions in infinite matter and in neutron stars and ...

Nucleon-nucleon interaction and isospin violation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The application of the chiral effective theory to processes with two or more nucleons is discussed. We gain a qualitative understanding of the gross features of nuclear physics and quantitative, testable postdictions and predictions involving photons and pions.

Calculation of Relativistic Nucleon-Nucleon Potentials in Three-Dimensions

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we have applied a three-dimensional approach for calculation of the relativistic nucleon-nucleon potential. The quadratic operator relation between the non-relativistic and the relativistic nucleon-nucleon interactions is formulated as a ...

BIL7 enhances plant growth by regulating the transcription factor BIL1/BZR1 during brassinosteroid signaling‡

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 121, Issue 2, January 2025.
Significant Statement We identified BIL7 as a novel positive regulator in brassinosteroid signaling and elucidated its molecular function and its role in promoting plant growth. We propose that BIL7 promotes increased nuclear accumulation of the brassinosteroid master transcription factor BIL1/BZR1.

Chiral Symmetry and the Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We summarize the current status of our understanding of nuclear forces based upon chiral symmetry--an idea that was advocated by Gerry Brown already several decades ago.
