Modified effective range expansion for nucleon-nucleon scattering
The standard effective range expansion is commonly used in nucleon-nucleon scattering to encode the properties of the nuclear force model-independently in a small set of parameters. However, its applicability is limited by the longest-range part of the

Two-nucleon scattering: merging chiral effective field theory with dispersion relations [PDF]
We consider two-nucleon scattering close to threshold. Partial-wave amplitudes are obtained by an analytic extrapolation of subthreshold reaction amplitudes calculated in a relativistic formulation of chiral perturbation theory.

Scintillation Response of 0D Cs3Cu2I5 Thin Layers to Light‐ and Heavy‐Ion Irradiation
Driven by increasing interest in uncovering the remarkable photoluminescence quantum yield of Cs3Cu2I5, polycrystalline thin layers are synthesized to investigate its radioluminescence response to energetic ions. Its spectroscopic capability is assessed in a wide range of ion mass and internal excitation processes are explored.

Delta excitation in dp-elastic scattering at intermediate energies
In this report the deuteron-proton elastic scattering reaction is studied in the range of the deuteron kinetic energy from 500 MeV to 1300 MeV. dp-elastic scattering is considered in the relativistic multiple scattering expansion framework since the ...

Elastic p-3He and n-3H scattering with two- and three-body forces
We report on a microscopic calculation of n-3H and p-3He scattering employing the Argonne v_{18} and v_8' nucleon-nucleon potentials with and without additional three-nucleon force. An R-matrix analysis of the p-3He and n-3H scattering data is presented.

A comparative analysis of GEANT4, MCNP6 and FLUKA on proton‐induced gamma‐ray simulation
Abstract Background Precise range verification is essential in proton therapy to minimize treatment margins due to the steep dose fall‐off of proton beams. The emission of secondary radiation from nuclear reactions between incident particles and tissues stands out as a promising method for range verification. Two prominent techniques are PET and Prompt

Few-nucleon contribution to π-scattering on light nuclei
We present our new results of the few-nucleon contributions to π-2H, π-3He and π-4He scattering lengths. To calculate these within the framework of Chiral Perturbation Theory we used a Monte-Carlo algorithm, which is briefly introduced.

Microscopic approach to the nucleon-nucleon effective interaction and nucleon-nucleon scattering in symmetric and isospin-asymmetric nuclear matter [PDF]
After reviewing our microscopic approach to nuclear and neutron-rich matter, we focus on how nucleon-nucleon scattering is impacted by the presence of a dense hadronic medium, with special emphasis on the case where neutron and proton densities are ...
