Exploring Dark Photon Production and Kinetic Mixing Constraints in Heavy‐Ion Collisions

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 346, Issue 3-4, March-May 2025.
ABSTRACT Vector U‐bosons, often referred to as “dark photons,” are potential candidates for mediating dark matter interactions. In this study, we outline a procedure to derive theoretical constraints on the upper bound of the kinetic mixing parameter ϵ2MU$$ {\upvarepsilon}^2\left({M}_U\right) $$ using dilepton data from heavy‐ion from SIS to RHIC ...

Investigations of the few-nucleon systems within the LENPIC project

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2020
Results presented in this contribution are obtained within the Low Energy Nuclear Physics International Collaboration (LENPIC). LENPIC aims to develop chiral nucleon-nucleon and many-nucleon interactions complete through at least the fourth order in ...

Nucleon-nucleon scattering from distillation

open access: yes, 2022
We report an ongoing analysis of nucleon-nucleon scattering based on finite-volume spectroscopy. The calculation is performed using the distillation method on eight lattice ensembles at the SU(3)-symmetric point with $m_\pi=m_K\approx 420$ MeV generated by CLS, covering a range of lattice spacings and volumes and previously used to study the $H ...

Electron Densities in Jupiter's Upper Ionosphere Inferred From Juno Plasma Wave Observations

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract Juno's highly eccentric polar orbit takes it to perijove distances of ∼ ${\sim} $1.06 RJ ${\mathrm{R}}_{J}$ on each orbit. For the first perijove, this occurred just north of the jovigraphic equator, but has precessed north by about a degree per orbit over the mission.

The nucleon microscopic optical potential based on the Skyrme interaction

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The nucleon microscopic optical potential based on the conventional and extended Skyrme interactions are achieved by the single-particle Green function method through nuclear matter approximation and local density approximation.

On the impact of mass difference between the pions (π±-π0) and the nucleons (n-p) on the charge independence breaking of nuclear forces

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2017
Charge dependence of the pion-nucleon coupling constants and the 1S0-state low-energy nucleon-nucleon scattering parameters are studied on the basis of the Yukawa meson theory.

Formal theory of heavy ion double charge exchange reactions [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
The theory of heavy ion double charge exchange (DCE) reactions A(Z, N) → A(Z ± 2, N ∓ 2) is recapitulated emphasizing the role of Double Single Charge Exchange (DSCE) and pion-nucleon Majorana DCE (MDCE) reactions.

Scattering of nucleons in the classical Skyrme model

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
Classically spinning B=1 Skyrmions can be regarded as approximations to nucleons with quantised spin. Here, we investigate nucleon–nucleon scattering through numerical collisions of spinning Skyrmions.

Analysis of proton scattering of stable and exotic light nuclei using an energy-dependent microscopic optical potential

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
The proton elastic scattering off the 9,10,11,12Be isotopes at a wide energy range from 3 to 200 MeV/nucleon is analyzed using the optical model with the partial-wave expansion method.

θ-dependence of light nuclei and nucleosynthesis

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We investigate the impact of the QCD vacuum at nonzero θ on the properties of light nuclei, Big Bang nucleosynthesis, and stellar nucleosynthesis. Our analysis starts with a calculation of the θ-dependence of the neutron-proton mass difference and ...
