Field transformations and simple models illustrating the impossibility of measuring off-shell effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In the context of simple models illustrating field transformations in Lagrangian field theories we discuss the impossibility of measuring off-shell effects in nucleon-nucleon bremsstrahlung, Compton scattering, and related processes.

Microscopic calculation of the spin-dependent neutron scattering lengths on 3He

open access: yes, 2003
We report on the spin.dependent neutron scattering length on 3He from a microscopic calculation of p-3H, n-3He, and d-2H scattering employing the Argonne v18 nucleon-nucleon potential with and without additional three-nucleon force.

Real and Virtual Compton Scattering off the Nucleon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A review is given of the very recent developments in the fields of real and virtual Compton scattering off the nucleon. Both real and virtual Compton scattering reactions are discussed at low outgoing photon energy where one accesses polarizabilities of ...

Nucleon-nucleon scattering in a harmonic potential [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2010
The discrete energy-eigenvalues of two nucleons interacting with a finite-range nuclear force and confined to a harmonic potential are used to numerically reconstruct the free-space scattering phase shifts. The extracted phase shifts are compared to those obtained from the exact continuum scattering solution and agree within the uncertainties of the ...

Measurement of 3He analyzing power for p-3He scattering using the polarized 3He target

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2020
Proton–3He scattering is one of the good probes to study the T = 3/2 channel of three– nucleon forces. We have measured 3He analyzing powers for p−3He elastic scattering with the polarized 3He target at 70 and 100 MeV. In the conference the data were com-

Relativistic Effect on Low-Energy Nucleon-Deuteron Scattering

open access: yes, 1994
The relativistic effect on differential cross sections, nucleon-to-nucleon and nucleon-to-deuteron polarization transfer coefficients, and the spin correlation function, of nucleon-deuteron elastic scattering is investigated employing several three ...

High-Energy Nucleon-Nucleon Scattering [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review, 1963
The nucleon-nucleon problem is discussed from the standpoint of analyticity in angular momentum. A unique continuation of the partial-wave helicity amplitudes is given. The high-energy nucleon-nucleon problem is then considered from the point of view of the various Regge poles that have the same quantum numbers as the nucleon-antinucleon channel.

An Analysis of the Exposure History of Apollo 17 Soils: Exploring Relationships Between Lunar Soil Maturity Indices

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Analysis of space weathering features in lunar regolith using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) allows researchers to characterize the surface exposure timescale of individual grains from the Moon. TEM analysis of regolith grains from Apollo 17 scoop samples, collected from five different locations in the Taurus‐Littrow Valley (TLV), each

Deuteron–deuteron scattering above four-nucleon breakup threshold

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
Deuteron–deuteron elastic scattering and transfer reactions in the energy regime above four-nucleon breakup threshold are described by solving exact four-particle equations for transition operators.
