Different formulations of 3He and 3H photodisintegration

open access: yes, 2004
Different momentum space Faddeev-like equations and their solutions for the radiative pd-capture and the three-nucleon photodisintegration of 3He are presented.

Reduced Geomagnetic Shielding During the Laschamps Excursion and Its Impact on Cosmic‐Ray‐Induced Atmospheric Radiation

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The Laschamps geomagnetic excursion (≈41,000 years BP) was a period of significant weakening and incomplete reversal of the Earth's magnetic field. The weakening substantially reduced geomagnetic shielding against cosmic rays (CRs), which contribute to phenomena at Earth, such as cosmogenic isotope production, and atmospheric ionisation and ...

Evaluation of the two lightest quark masses

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2017
Simple relations between the masses of the two lightest up and down quarks were obtained on the basis of the simple physically based model compatible with the present-day theory of strong interactions, i.e. with quantum chromodynamics.

Time Dependence of Nucleon Correlation Functions in Chiral Perturbation Theory

open access: yes, 2009
We consider corrections to nucleon correlation functions arising from times that are far from the asymptotic limit. For such times, the single nucleon state is contaminated by the pion-nucleon and pion-delta continuum.

Galactic Cosmic Ray Ionization on Uranus; Geomagnetic Latitude Dependencies

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) are a major source of atmospheric ionization, influencing ion abundance, aerosol formation, and electrical processes. GCR‐induced effects are expected to be more pronounced on Uranus than planets closer to the Sun for two reasons; reduced solar irradiance, and weaker solar modulation of incident GCR.

Inelasticity in Nucleon-Nucleon and Nucleon-Nucleus Collision [PDF]

pseudo·rapidity 5). It was found that for both parametrizations the inelasticity in pp collision decreases when energy increases and for proton· air nucleus the inelasticity has also a moderate decrease with the energy. However for proton· nucleus the inelasticity has a strong sensitivity with the mass number of the nucleus. Using our calculations for

A workflow for practical training in plant genomics using Oxford Nanopore long‐read sequencing

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 1, Page 185-197, January 2026.
Advances in DNA sequencing technologies are revolutionising all areas of plant genomic research. In response to the current deficit of educational resources in modern plant genomic methods, we have developed a comprehensive genomics training course for sequencing and analysing non‐model plant species.

Elastic nucleon-deuteron scattering and breakup with chiral forces

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Results on three-nucleon (3N) elastic scattering and breakup below the pion production threshold are discussed. The large discrepancies found between a theory based on numerical solutions of 3N Faddeev equations with standard nucleon-nucleon (NN ...

Nonlocality of the NN interaction in an effective field theory

open access: yes, 2001
We investigate low energy nucleon dynamics in the effective field theory (EFT) of nuclear forces. In leading order of the two-nucleon EFT we show that nucleon dynamics is governed by the generalized dynamical equation with a nonlocal-in-time interaction ...

Development and Validation of the GEANT4 Model of the Electron Proton Helium Instrument on Board the SOHO Spacecraft Utilizing the Accelerator Measurements at the Hahn‐Meitner Institute Berlin

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Context. The Electron Proton Helium INstrument (EPHIN) aboard SOlar and Heliospheric Observatory is a particle telescope that measures energetic protons and helium above 4 MeV/nuc and electrons above 150 keV. While a calibration of EPHIN has been performed before launch, it has only partially been assessed reducing the accuracy of the detector
