Plant tRNA nucleotidyltransferase

Planta, 1978
A method for purification of tRNA nucleotidyltransferase from Lupinus luteus L. seeds on a preparative scale is presented. This involved ammonium sulfate fractionation and chromatography on DEAE-cellulose, hydroxylapatite, and QAE-Sephadex A-50. The final enzyme prepartion was apparently homogeneous and a 2000-fold purification was achieved.

Induction of DNA nucleotidyltransferase by the shope fibroma virus

Virology, 1967
Abstract DNA nucleotidyltransferase activity is increased in extracts of rabbit kidney cells infected by the Shope fibroma virus and assayed under various conditions. Determination of the optimal conditions for assay shows that there are two separate activities.

Transfer RNA nucleotidyltransferase

1990
Publisher Summary All tRNA molecules contain, at the 3′ terminus, the identical-CCA sequence that is required for their acceptor and transfer functions. In prokaryotic cells, no discrete pattern has emerged. In laboratory strains of Escherichia coli , all tRNA genes sequenced encode the -CCA sequence, and mutant strains devoid of tRNA ...

4 Nucleotidyltransferases and Phosphotransferases: Stereochemistry and Covalent Intermediates

, 1992
Publisher Summary In practice, the classic methods alone have proved to be inadequate to settle the question of whether enzymes utilize nucleophilic catalysis to catalyze phosphoryl and nucleotidyl group transfer reactions. Stereochemical analysis of these reactions has given the most important mechanistic information on the question of whether ...

DNA nucleotidyltransferase activity of the developing rat brain

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1970
Abstract DNA polymerase (deoxynucleoside triphosphate: DNA deoxynucleotidyltransferase, EC 2.7.7.7) activity in soluble extracts from developing rat brain has been studied. The DNA polymerase from infant rat brain required the presence of template DNA, Mg2+ and all four deoxynucleoside triphosphates.

Identification of the active site of phosphoribosyl-dephospho-coenzyme A transferase and relationship of the enzyme to an ancient class of nucleotidyltransferases.

Biochemistry, 2000
Malonate decarboxylase from Klebsiella pneumoniae contains an acyl carrier protein (MdcC) to which a 2'-(5' '-phosphoribosyl)-3'-dephospho-CoA prosthetic group is attached via phosphodiester linkage to serine 25.

A continuous microtiter plate assay for screening nucleotide sugar-synthesizing nucleotidyltransferases.

Analytical Biochemistry, 1996
A continuous microtiter plate nucleotidyltransferase substrate screening assay (NUSSA) is described which allows the identification of nucleotide sugar-synthesizing enzyme activities.

7 tRNA Nucleotidyltransferase

1982
Publisher Summary ATP(CTP)-tRNA nucleotidyltransferase catalyzes the incorporation of AMP and CMP residues into tRNA molecules from which all, or part, of the 3 terminal trinucleotide sequence, –C–C–A, has been removed. tRNA nucleotidyltransferase activity has been identified in a wide variety of organisms including mammals, birds, amphibians ...

Inhibition of RNA nucleotidyltransferase by 6-azauridine triphosphate

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, 1963
ABS>Escherichia coli RNA polymerase was prepared, and the synthetic reaction was assayed by the method of Chamberlin and Berg. Phosphorus-32-labeled uridine triphosphate (UTP) was used as the proximally labeled nucleotide. The pyrophosphate-nucleoside triphosphate exchange reaction dependent on crab- daT(deoxyadenylate and thymidylate) (or daT ...

Study of the Escherichia coli tRNA nucleotidyltransferase

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1974
Abstract A complex between Escherichia coli tRNA nucleotidyltransferase and tRNA has been isolated by centrifugation in a glycerol gradient (sedimentation constant 5.3 S). The complex is dissociated in the presence of ethylenediamine tetraacetate or high salt concentrations. The apparent K m of the enzyme for E.
