Refining the timing of Middle Pleistocene (MIS 12 to MIS 6) ice advances into northern central Europe: sedimentological analysis and single‐grain luminescence dating of glaciotectonic complexes and tunnel‐valley fills

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.

Evaluating the preoperative diagnostic value of 99mTc‐MIBI/99mTcO4− dual‐isotope SPECT/CT fusion imaging and ultrasonography in suspected primary hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Background Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is a common endocrine disorder that often requires surgical intervention. Preoperative localization of parathyroid lesions is critical for successful surgery. This study compares the diagnostic value of 99mTc‐MIBI/99mTcO4− dual‐isotope SPECT/CT fusion imaging and ultrasonography (US) in patients ...

Preserved Through Hyperaridity, 150 Million Years of Exhumation and Strike‐Slip Deformation in the Atacama Coastal Cordillera

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 45, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract The Coastal Cordillera of northern Chile, in the forearc of the Andean subduction zone, provides an ideal site to evaluate exhumation above the oldest active subduction under extreme aridity. This range lies parallel to a sediment‐starved trench, has experienced hyperaridity since the Miocene, and is transected by the ∼1,000‐km‐long Atacama ...

Evaluation of 99Mo production based on molten salt reactor off-gas extraction

open access: yesHe jishu
BackgroundThe extraction of 99Mo medical isotopes from off-gas of molten salt reactors (MSRs) has attracted significant attention. However, previous studies focused only on the estimation of 99Mo nuclide production in the reactor core, and limited ...

Integrating Multiple Approaches to Reveal the Spatiotemporal Pattern of Soil Erosion in Mollisol Watershed

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, Volume 37, Issue 14, Page 10355-10370, 30 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Although numerous prediction methods have been developed, scientific estimation of the spatiotemporal pattern of soil erosion at the watershed scale remains challenging. In this study, fallout radionuclides of 210Pbex and 137Cs were used to estimate average annual soil erosion and deposition in a Mollisol watershed in Northeast China ...
