Isolation of Neurons of a Nudibranch Veliger

open access: yesThe Biological Bulletin, 1992
A technique was developed to dissociate and culture identified sensory neurons and interneurons from the anterolateral propodial ganglia of metamorphically competent veligers of the nudibranch, Onchidoris bilamellata. Receptor cells have been represented as receiving an environmental cue that initiates the settlement response.

Notes on some British Nudibranchs. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, 1906
The following notes are the result partly of an examination of various living specimens at Plymouth in the spring of 1905, and partly of the study of preserved material most kindly placed at my disposal by Mr. E. J. Allen and Mr. W. I. Beaumont, of the Laboratory, Plymouth, Mr. W. E.

First records of two Cuthona species (Gastropoda: Nudibranchia) in the Adriatic Sea

open access: yesNatura Sloveniae, 2015
Authors are reporting on the first records of two nudibranch species of the genus Cuthona in the Slovenian part of the Adriatic Sea. In the period from September 2014 to March 2015, specimens of Cuthona genovae and C.

Oxygenated Diterpenes from the Indo-Pacific Nudibranchs and

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2016
Five new diterpenes ( 1-5 ), each with a highly oxygenated spongian framework, were characterized from an organic extract of a specimen of the nudibranch Goniobranchus splendidus collected from Eastern Australia. The new diterpene 7α-hydroxydendrillol-3 (

ON THE FOOD OF NUDIBRANCHS

open access: yesThe Biological Bulletin, 1959
1. Nudibranchs exercise considerable choice in the selection of their food. There is a complete chain of conditions from animals feeding exclusively on animal diet to animals depending more or less completely on algae for their food supply.2. Deprived of all other kinds of food, nudibranchs can depend to a certain extent on suitable planktonic ...
